The line ups had to have been over 15 minutes on Saturday, if not longer. That’s total BS in my opinion. Yeah, the atmosphere was great, beautiful day, but I think it was worse for day pass users. One guy I ended up riding with was from Mississauga, on a day pass. If you figure he was there for the full day, and he had to wait 15 or 20 minutes between runs, he’s spending most of the day standing around doing squat.

I understand it was the first day of Blue being open, but if today was like yesterday, it can’t be getting any better in a couple of weeks from now. Hopefully Blue is able to alleviate the waiting with the use of shuttle trucks, and/or adding more bike carries between pods, then it’d be a much more efficient system.

All things considering, Blue did an excellent job of getting as many of the trails operational as they could, as well as expanding the park with two new trails, and trying to get everyone up the hill as quickly and as safely as they could

well it seems this weekend has turned out just right, after street riding in hamilton and grimbsy last night for a good couple hours.. woke up this morning at 7, got ready and by 9-9:30 i was out the door and heading towards matt’s (matt133) house with mr.hammer, while almost getting pulled over for doing 140 on the highway, and getting sideswiped by a truck.. made it to matt’s. picked him up and focused on our next target.. blue mountain.

after stopping for some food, we found ourselves at blue by 1ish.. found a place to park, and got the lift tickets. we’re looking closer to 2 now.. so we go and get into line, and i true up matt’s rear wheel while in line, and had a little chat with andrew mac, we load up and head up the hill after a good 35minute wait. we head up the hill and ride around at the top for a bit, getting to know our area, ending up running into batman, said hello and checked out highway, then decide to find something different, waterfall is found.. rode that out.. and i enjoyed it. then loaded up again (a good hour wait) but was told they would stay open till 6 instead 5. went and hit up Embryo, so much fun, then that followed by showcase. which was AMAZING.

get back down to the bottom and we’re now looking at 4:30-5, fiqure we can get in one quick run, then another Embryo run.. we get pretty close to the lift in the line, and the thing shuts down.. sit there for an hour.. 6 o’clock comes around.. and everyone is told to leave.. i was a bit dissappointed for 30 bucks for 3 runs.. but that’s another story. i hope blue will look into this. but overall an amazing day.. if i had enough money and energy i’d go back tomorrow.. maybe next weekend.. also met reaction 😉 that is all for now.. i hope you liked my story

It was a 15 minute wait on Saturday morning, and I left around 1 due to a broken crown. I could well imagine the line-ups. It was opening day though. I’ll wait till the middle of the week for better lift line-ups

Every run basically took an hour on Sunday, we never really stopped at the top or on the trail (enough waiting to be had in line), so I’m gussing the lineup itself was easily 40 minutes plus.

Blue said that pretty much every single seasons pass was picked up this weekend, meaning every seasons pass holder was there riding, more or less.

i heard every season’s pass holder was there, but it was nice enough of them to stay open till 6 instead of 5, too bad the lift broke.

Sunday was really fun. I was supposed to go back today, but i’m too sore. Got tossed off the bike pretty bad on Waterfall, but still had a great day. Other than special events, you’ll never see those kind of lines. Blue said that every seasons pass holder was there plus all the day pass riders.

BURN!!!!! good one Barnes. Don’t think Boner will ever live that one down. And that is exactly why I always drive.
