We are putting some more effort into last years Creeks build. It is in a beautiful wet area and will need touch ups from time to time. But well worth the extra effort.

We are working on putting “You are Here” trail signs throughout our network to help people who are not sure how to navigate the large amount of singletrack. The numbered posts correspond to numbers on our printed map that is available for purchase at our sponsor shops. This community project was paid for by our members. No Government money was used, all grass roots.

This will be a good addition to the forest, finally. 🙂

Canadmos your appreciation for the volunteer effort is underwhelming as usual. LOL

Sand needs to be wheeled down from the upper forest to set the Corduroy in place.

Perhaps my sarcasm meter is out of tune but I believe he thanked you for you efforts. In fact, he also used the ‘THANKS’ option.

In my humble opinion adequate signage for wayfinding is what takes a good trail system to being a great trail system. For out of towners who may not ride the trails on a regular basis, or have the benefit of hooking up with a local guide, being able to find your way around may make the difference between a frustrated one time visit and many happy returns.

Looks like you are on the right track.

If yours is out of tune, mine must be completely broken.

    Wheres the berm? 😀

Are you guys adding any traction material or anything on the turn? Perhaps it is gentle enough of a turn to not need it, but man I’ve had some bad experiences with slippery-as-snot wood bridges…including sliding off one and into a creek in Kolapore last year.

Last years new build, Creeks, North East Corner of the 7th and Bass Lake road.

Not sure what the plan is. I missed last weeks build night. The slope is indeed slight and I am sure something will be done if it becomes an issue. Our wood work is new, so it will be interesting to see how it ages.

SCMBC has many builders with ideas they want to bring to life. We try some and then adjust as needed.

We have had good results firming up our Cedar Corduroy with on-site sand.
