So the forecast for this weekend is looking great, and it looks like we have a good group of 10-12 (or more?) riders. Not sure about the route, but I am thinking something like this:

    Ridge > Cat/RJ/PA > Bog > Gundy > Secret > Smith’s > 4Play > RoadApples >
North to Finch (Winfields? Earl Bales? West Don Parklands?) >
Hydrocut/Newtonbrook from West branch to East branch>
South from Finch (East Don Parklands? Betty Sutherland? Charles Sauriol?)
    Motown reverse > Boo>. Climbmax > Friutloop > Boomerang > Hydrocut? > TLoop > Flats > Pottery > Redway

This sound about right? Did I miss anything obvious? The route excludes Quads, but it would not be too hard to tack on if desired. I do know some of the trails by Finch, but I really hope someone knows some of the trails North of Sunnybrook on the West branch, and North of the golf course on the East branch.

Confirmed for the apres: Marley, Jesse “1404” B, Paul J, Erich, Tatiana, Double D

Time to load up Cliff Bars and extra tubes!

Broken frame has been replaced and I just rebuilt the bike (mostly) so I think I am IN. Although having not ridden for 6 weeks I’ll probably get dropped. I have a dinner to get to so probably out on the apres if I make it .

    What’s the start time?

You should reach out to Tweak to lead. He knows all this shit and typically has led BDDRs I’ve been on.

I already mentioned this ride to @veteran_youth (Tweak), he’s probably going to post up soon.

I can start at 9, but I won’t be able to stay for the whole ride, gotta be back by 4pm.

Just a reminder the ride is this Sunday at 9:00 for anyone on the fence. Pack a lunch and extra tubes!

The stars aligned and I’ve actually got a Sunday free. Looked at the Strava links and while I know I’ll pay for it Monday morning I’m absolutely in till dusk provided my body doesn’t disown or betray me beforehand. Looking forward to meeting more of the people and more of the trails of The Don.

    Cheers

I’m in for tomorrow but I’ll have to head home around 3:30pm. Is the plan to meet at the loblaws parking lot?

Great ride! We went deep into the north! I’ve already begun planning the next route so it’s all on dirt.

Marley, Thanks for getting us all out there. Your apres was amazing! Your home is so cool! Thanks for the delicious foodz! It went a long way towards getting me out of the dog house with Boo!

    Well done Lady and Gentlemen!

What an awesome day! A great group, some awesome riding, and an amazing post ride meal. I can’t wait for an all dirt BDDR next year.

Heal up Ian, I hope you made it home ok.

If I knew what awaited us I would have gone over! It was a good team building exercise. 🙂

Could not have asked for a better ride – a fantastic turn out, great group, and no rain. Thanks for those that could make it to the apres, that was a lot of fun as well. Tim and Ben did a great job leading us through the north. Yeah, Finch and Bathurst is… pretty sketch. That was a tough hike.
Ian, I hope you are OK, man. Sorry we could not see you out of Motown. A few pics:

edit: The Instagram links don’t see to work so I attached the pics instead.
