    So apparently my wife needs to travel on the 26th now and that puts me in a tough spot re: kids. If we move the date to Saturday, October 18th, would that still work for most people? @iberash does that help you out? We can then make the original date of Sunday the 26th the rain date (I have a sitter standing by). Sorry for the change.

    Also, I am planning a menu for the apres so if you are planning on coming can you let me know, and also also if you are vegetarian? Sorry Ben no hot tub, but I promise we are well equipped to host. If anyone can’t make the ride for whatever reason and wants to come by, shoot me a pm.

    The 18th would save me from having to take a day off work. The only possible problem I can see with that date is that the annual Fall Blowout Sale is on the same day (http://www.bicycleshowtoronto.com/blowout-sale/).

    Whichever day you guys decide, I’ll try to make it. I honestly don’t have a problem with taking a Sunday off work to ride. I still have a few vacation days carried over from last year that I need to take before the end of December or risk losing.

    Edit: Forgot to answer your question about the after ride plans. No need to worry about me. I’ll probably end up bailing out before the end of the ride. Last BDDR I rode (years ago) I had to bail out after the 4th hour or so … was pedaling with one leg cause the other was cramping so bad, lol.

    @endurorider – Thinking 9am start.

    If enough people can’t make it, I’ll just use the sitter.

    This is a good thing, it means there might be even less traffic in the don!

    Man, don’t know why I didn’t check earlier to make sure, but I was just looking at my wife’s schedule to see what shift I was working this week and saw that my daughter’s got a kids workshop at YorkU on the 18th.

    Going to have to bail on the Saturday as my son has hockey pretty early. But if it ends up being the 19th I’m pretty sure I can do it.

    I looks like far fewer can make it the 18th, so lets go with the original date of Sunday, October 26th at 9:00am. For the apres, I am thinking something like ribs and cornbread, and I will be well stocked with beer. Right now I only have 3 or 4 confirmed for the apres, so let me know if you are planning on coming so I have enough.

    Put in a request to take the 26th and 27th off. Just waiting to hear from my supervisor if we have coverage. If so, I’m good for the 26th barring any change of plans issued by the boss at home (i.e., the wife).
