Hwy Flats is Ok. jumps are not. We did some bermage work on the flats yesterday and looks like the second line of jumps is almost ready.

went down there today, too bloody hot.

I’m going to hose myself off now…

Sweet! Shit was getting too dry there. What’s the nettle/weed situation on the various trails like – any trimming needed?

i’ve only been on the flats for the last few days but if yer interested in trimming go here- http://www.dropmachine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25199 …and remove the smaller bough or the 2nd headbanger. its getting lower with the weight of the new foliage & will continue getting lower unless its cut back. theres also the other tree weighing it down too. i think by now most ppl would agree its not fun anymore.

i also think the new bermwork as well as the existing berms would have more usable potential with that outa the way. i may even jack the big one up some more 💡

Did anyone catch pictures of the don while the rain came down thursday? Just wondering how high the river got.

Compare my videos from yesterday with those of last week at the weir just north of Pottery Road.

    Last week: http://donwatcher.blogspot.com/2007/07/don-river-video.html

    Yesterday: http://donwatcher.blogspot.com/2007/07/don-river-flood-videos.html

No pix but the water level under the CN bridge on the way to DJs was about 10 cm from the bottom of the bridge.

A dramatic difference indeed, the colour of the water alone.

    Don’t fall in.

    thanks for the links DW.

Trail on Cat/ridge/fl are all 99% perfect , just a few puddles to look out for . But not muddy .
The Dj are wet in the low areas . Looks like it hasn’t stopped some riders ripping around , putting deep ruts all over the place .
