Conditions are pretty decent overall. Few greasy spots, but not soft enough to cause damage. The elevator shaft bypass on Catalyst can be pretty exhilarating when wet.
There is a tree down on BOT, just before the double.
New Trash Panda trail is pretty dope and makes for a great loop. Some greasy spots and a few blow corners but overall a great addition.

Pottery -> Ridge -> Boo -> Swamp -> Woods Gundy -> SHT + Flats… everything is running great today! Which means tons of riders/joggers/walkers out. Most people were being pretty respectful of distance though, from what I saw. The paved paths were a different story… looked like a normal Saturday out there. SMHApril 25, 2020 at 4:57 pm #822348
East Don trails are also dry and running great (Motown, Fruitloops and connector, Training Loop, and Boomerang). I’m not sure about Kitchen Sink or Dr. Quads. None were crowded today and people were keeping the appropriate distance.May 3, 2020 at 11:02 am #822350
A bit on the greasy side this morning, but not too bad.May 9, 2020 at 9:52 am #822354
Conditions cold but fantastic on the Serena Gundy to Sunnybrook loop. Sight lines are great. The new Rehab line will get some tweaks and some poor derp will inevitably end up in the brook, but it’s a great start by those guys.
Unfortunately they messed around with the iconic flow section at the DH end of Fourplay and screwed up the perfect flow there. I cracked both my Lee Valley hoe and rake earlier this spring, and waiting for some new trail tools in the mail—but I’m happy to help if someone wants to spend an hour or two tweaking that line.May 12, 2020 at 4:51 pm #822357
Can anyone confirm if the parking lots of ET Seton Rd. are accessible by car, or if the lot at the sunnybrook dog park is open? If anyone has any tips for parking if these spots are closed, and are relatively close to these trail areas, thanks in advance!May 13, 2020 at 9:04 am #822358
et seton and sunnybrook dog park closed. street parking in leaside or bridle path are good sunnybrook options

These are the days! Nice and dry, clear sight lines. Feels like the vegetation is late this year, I guess due to the cold.May 13, 2020 at 8:18 pm #822360
The new Rehab line that bypasses the landslide has been fenced up and filled in. Looks like a City job? Too bad.May 14, 2020 at 10:17 am #822361

Agreed. It also hasn’t rained much this spring. Everything, not just the Don, is a dust bowl. No complaints though, its been great to get out so much this early in the season.
Be safe everyone!May 16, 2020 at 8:53 am #822362
I rode Trash Panda for the first time this week. What a great trail. Thanks to those involved.
How long has this been here? Any other new trails I should be looking for when the dirt dries out?
I’d love to be able to say thanks to the troll gnomes. Shovels or tools? Cases of beer? Let me know whats needed .
Fingers crossed for a dry long weekend.May 17, 2020 at 6:32 pm #822363
Some new work starting on the tracks beside kitchen sink just north of eglinton. Contractors were working all weekend and that meant the easiest ride around/through the construction zone under the bridge, ie on the side-out via the track, is now effectively blocked. I had to vault over those concrete barriers cyclo-cross style just like I was 20 years younger again. If riding on a weekday, do not take the track line side-out as the trains are running Mon-Fri and are coming through many times a day.

Looks like the Don Parking lots are available again. Today I drove by the Horticultural Gardens lot and also drove into the Leslie/Eglinton access and the barriers had been removed in both and cars were parked. I assume that other access points have also been opened but didn’t check any of the others out.May 29, 2020 at 3:22 pm #822366
I’ve been pretty slow getting rolling this year due to some lingering injuries, but tried Trash Panda a couple days ago–fantastic build. That sharp left-hand ridge turn about halfway through is washing out a bit and likely needs some support, and I’m happy to help if the trail builder wants a hand or needs materials. Cheers!
