last eve, Pottery to BOT, return east wall and flats
Supppper fun fall conditions, great light, crispy leaves …. Tomba la Bomba is running so hot rn, gotta be one of the best ways to end a ride!
Also the new collector to road exti on crothers is great, thank you! but why the log over at the start?October 4, 2017 at 2:57 pm #817912
Pottery downhill got some much needed love, but def still needs more. Thankfully the one way signs are up there so it allows it to be a bit more zesty than other parts.
@neville-park I’m really liking the Redway road crossing too, digging this rain to help compact that soil. I heard post ride from some of the Betty’s that there was a “log over” loose on the trail when they rolled through shortly after 6:00, but the only thing there when I rolled past at 6:45 was a note and a six pack.
Heads up on Bunny Run, there are a few more broken bottles and a few new holes in the “bridges” that can be a bit tough to distinguish from damp spots or rotting leavesOctober 18, 2017 at 1:25 pm #817938
some small changes and maintenance here and there. Fall trail ferries abound. Thank you!
*TREE DOWN – Foreplay DH after the first step up*
all time fall time, almost 20C and sunny – ya kiddingOctober 18, 2017 at 1:29 pm #817940
Another downed tree report—on Vanderhoof climb, mid-way up (or mid-way down).October 18, 2017 at 1:32 pm #817941
Beautiful morning! A few greasy spots here and there, but prime riding.
*TREE DOWN – 3 Rocks to Redway Downhill, towards the bottom*October 19, 2017 at 8:23 am #817952
Trails were great last night. Run from your keyboard and get out – this weather!!!
A few trees down on Training Loop
Big thanks for the work done on Beaver Flats – my new fav trail.
The rebuilt bridge (huge thanks to the builder and his dogs for the effort!!!) is solid and that whole hillside is reclaimed!October 22, 2017 at 10:16 am #817966
What a gift, this weather. Smooth sailing yesterday from Pottery to BOT and back via Climbmaxx, Bunny Run / Droppings (some leaf-covered sand pits on the second half of droppings) and Flats.
The new bridge on Cat is bomber. Thanks to whoever sorted that out.
Lots of family groups in Crothers this weekend. Would it make sense for CoT to amend signage at the top of the Pottery DH to direct all foot traffic to the uphill trail? Personally, I’d much rather encounter a large group with toddlers and dogs on the way up than on the way down.October 25, 2017 at 2:16 pm #818053
Has it dried out yet, particularly north of Eglinton?October 26, 2017 at 12:06 am #818054
It’s dry to tacky, a couple puddles in the usual spots that don’t exactly drain. Leaves are full blown though so things can get dicey fast if you’re running hot. Big tree down on Foreplay blind on the second downhill beside the dog park.October 26, 2017 at 8:59 am #818055
Trails were perfect last night – yes, lots of leaves but currently they aren’t wet – so not so slippery.
Downed tree on Vanerhoof climb is GONE- that was a big one – thanks!!!!October 27, 2017 at 4:33 pm #818058
Gundy, Swamp, Beaver Flats, Boo, Climbaculator, all dryish and ridable even with lots of leaves. Today was probably the last day for shorts.October 30, 2017 at 9:40 am #818067
Conditions on the ridge, motown & boomerang were all good by yesterday late afteroon, so things should be amazing today aside from any trees that might be falling over with the wind. Nice cools temps mean way less water to drag around.October 30, 2017 at 2:53 pm #818078
Wow, good update – I tried north Don at 11am yesterday (knew it was early but later was a write-off) and it was still pretty dangerous on any of the fun fast sections that are the real reason I ride. 😀 If only the rain holds off for a bit I’ll try again tonight – desperately hoping I haven’t already done my last Don ride of the season, but the forecast isn’t exactly clay-friendly….November 7, 2017 at 10:30 am #818090
Everything too wet?November 7, 2017 at 5:43 pm #818093
