Motown was in great shape yesterday eve with some new features (cross between pump rollers and doubles? lol) and maintenance work completed (new bridges, berm walls and bench cuts – thank you!)

Looks like someone is getting ready for when the foliage falls and sight lines … scratch that – riding lines return

Hello all riders. The fallen leaves are starting to cover up the lines. All it takes is a rake and a little time and voila the line is clear. So enjoy the colors and the sunny weather and clear a section of your ride. Every bit helps.

Stellar conditions tonight. Everything I rode on the West side was mint (Ridge/Crothers/Boo/Bunny/Vietnam/Swamp/GSPOT/Smiths/Foreplay/Flats).

Heads up, tree down on Bunny just past (coming South)/before (coming north) the bridge underpass. It’s fallen straight across the trail and is about 6″ in diameter. A saw will be needed to clear it, as it’s quite large.

    Otherwise, all is good.

West Don west side trails are clear of leaves from cricket tree to Serena Gundy (Cat upper/lower, RJ, PA, BOT, Swamp). Conditions are outstanding. Careful in the deep leaves elsewhere!

Work beneath the Overlea bridge is done and barricades have been removed.

To the feature builder on Boo: Napoleon Dynamite and Pedro want their jump back.

I hear you can get like three feet of air off that thing.

Also, thanks to whomever clipped the fallen trees out on Dr. Quads, It was excellent being able to ride through there again!

Thanks Mike! Yannick and I reaped the benefits of your work this morn!
The new down line (north end of Woodz Gundy) is The BOMB! Your best work yet! Can’t wait to session that again!
Yannick showed up on + tires today, makes me happy to see how “fat” you’re all getting! That TallBoy is quite a machine! Scary fast on the Fir Patch. All I need now is a Kindernay and it’ll be new bike time for me!
The Halloween ride is going to be epic this Saturday!
    Cheers,TC

Can confirm the run from Topo to B.O.T is amazing right now
Lots of trail work too – much appreciated to the people putting in effort to clear leaves and maintain the trail.
Some time was spent to clear the remaining leaves as needed during the ride.

Topo – thanks to whomever re-benched it and took out the early tree stump that always tried to clip your crank
Catalyst – tons of maintenance and re-benching, rock armor, drainage improvements. great work!
    Rim Job – fine shape
Party Atmosphere – has a few new features and some re-worked trail too. Someone cleaned the brake bumps and regarded the climb heading north to the chemical plant/start of BOTs. Again all great stuff!
BOTs – fine shape and those end berms are so fast right now!

Thank you to all trail maintainers, to the trail users and to mother nature for such a glorious time of year!

Boo Bunny Climbmaxxx clear of leaves.

Close encounter with the skunk living in the culvert by the archery range entrance. No harm done!

the Bell Ringer is reopened, as P (YellaOne) has been working away the entire week to dig out a decade worth of silt and debris that filled in the old bridge Tim made on top of a shopping cart….. When you see him, bring him a beer for the hard work he’s done, well into the late night each day. The shopping cart is still buried under there. haha.

Now that this is usable, people should avoid crossing the tracks and instead go UNDER the bridge. The less traffic over the tracks the better. Once it’s 100% (it’s ridable now) we will re-link the fence and close that up. This makes the entire flats ridable without crossing the tracks, a big win for us as less visible usage across the tracks, the less likely CN will put more fences up.

A few hobbits also fixed/built up the rollover past the bridge before the VOTLR last week, so enjoy it 😉 Who knows, they may put back the larger rocks people have been literally digging out (Visibly dug out w softer dirt put in the hole to fill) at the section just after the bridge (looking at you, CX riders!). The ridge is a XC trail, not a paved road, so rocks are going back in.
