No! Sorry to hear that @trail_head. Hope it is not too serious.

Thanks Chris, I’ll walk it off! Well maybe not. The Doctor is telling me it’s surgery time plus 6mths of rehab. I’ll be off the bikes and shovels for a while.

Yes, bike related. About 6 years ago I had a hard crash on this shoulder. The Doctor had me doing exercises to keep it under control but, it’s gotten much worse lately ( it’s popping all the time now ) and I’m getting tired of eating Advil all day, every day to keep going. My new shoulder Doctor I saying this shoul have been operated on years ago. Lesson learned; always get a second opinion.
Anyway; I’m off to see if Ridingfeelsgood on my Unicycle!

Blah, you’ll be back riding with us before the leaves are down @trail_head. Your bones may be getting older but your blood is getting younger, somehow.

Ridge is minty, Flats is a little puddly, Crothers mostly good except for the baby poo puddles. Should be great for tonight, so consider moving your Thursday ride to Wednesday…

Hero dirt: trail conditions so perfect your tires to stay hooked up and you corner just like you do in your dreams. Essentially hero dirt turns your bike into a train – like this: (substitute “bike” for “train”, and “hero dirt” for “rails”)

Unicycles are great for the core! You need a new challenge anyway. Had a friend (who did know how to mountain bike and ride moto) and loved hitting trails on his unicycle. Taught himself and not long after had small ladies on his shoulders while riding. True story, though truly he was a bit of a maniac.

Shoulders are a bitch. Such a messy joint. Keep active and heal that sucker.

It looks like a bunch of trees along Crother’s woods/ridge have been tagged for removal. Or are the tags something else altogether?

If you mean the ones marked with orange paint they’ve been tagged by Foresty staff for removal )they’re all dead) and are likely to get the heave-hoe in the very near future.

Hmm, guess I wasn’t aware the carolinian ecosystem was being kept so neat and tidy for us.

Was in last night and the Trails were in prime condition and with the light till past 9 pm you can’t go wrong. The work on Smiths edge is really coming along, there certainly has been A LOT of dirt moved in the newer section leading up to the switch backs, nice work. Should be a great weekend if the rain holds.

Also there are a couple of large trees down near the log over on boomerang.

    Trails were great last night…

Big thanks to the trail fairies as I noticed a couple of things…

    – Mud Bog connector now drains so well it might get renamed
    – little hole on the southern section of Boo as it goes down toward river was filled
    – new bridge on Ridge will save many from the “wobbly plank of death”

    Tim – heal up!

Lol, this can be arranged! Does anyone know the proper name for that connecting bit?
