Two questions: First off, fast section on the ridge. Is it dry?
Second, how do you guys know when the trails are torn up and stuff?

i was in to see it 1st hand today. the flats is fukt south of millwood and various to north of that. best to step off, stay out or walk it if you dare. i heard the ridge was mostly ok.

AHA! You fell into my cunning trap! I guess I’ll check it out via the road myself tomorrow. I don’t like to get my bike muddy, so it’ll be strictly observation via concrete 😆

i was more concerned with the condition of the CN boulder bridge. after 2 winters its still SOLID as the year we built it and without obvious shift movement. not even a minor repair required.

answer to both silly questions……i ride in there and use MY EYES.
if I can not then I walk off trail carrying my bike.
then report to doofii like you to stay off

i went thru the ridge today. walked alot.
as previously repeatedly stated, too wet for ~2 weeks if we dont get much rain.
most of the stick-rung ladders are fukt. a few trees are down & in the way as well(ridge and flats).
Ted was benchcutting the end of the ridge. tx Ted 🙂
lower P.A. is gonna be a mudfest for a month; theres still snow in there! downed trees too. i only went in 120′. why bother.

….and garbage EVERYWHERE, as usual 😕

Marshal dood whats witht he name calling? NWD_26 just said he isn’t in there riding, but you are, and you’re calling HIM a doofus? Give the guy a break.

To everybody thats in there, I don’t see the point of going in and riding ANYTHING, when you know full well that its going to be shit. In fact, I would say that you’re doing more damage, in that people see you in there and possibly think its ok for them to go too. I could tell by standing on the leaside bridge that it wasn’t ready to go, so why can’t you guys do the same?

2 weeks, then its good i bet.

saturday afternoon…it’s dry where the sun has been hitting,
but parts of Ridge, PA, Flats, are pretty muddy.
new trail up by loblaws is badly footprinted in places, and rutted.
parts of sun valley have dried up nicely, but the construction interrupts.
rode up to sunnybrook park on the paved trail, and noticed a lot of pruning from the Forestry staff.

target shooters were in the archery range by the science centre, firing compound bows with carbon fibre arrows!!!

horseback riders in sunnybrook park using the bridle trails…
if you want to see a good example of how a 1500 lb equestrian and rider can impact natural surface, go see Sunnybrook’s horseback trails. divots like you wouldn’t believe.

in the states, mountain bikers have had to argue hard against parks authorities who think that MTBRs are more impactful than horses.
nothing could be further from the truth!
we’ve got it pretty good here in toronto.

Yesterday, wednesday, went riding for a bit just to look around, if it doesnt rain this week, the trails will be prime for weekend riding.
