Had a good ride early this morning. Trails were dry and clear…I can see some problems with erosion along the steep narrow section of the trail just south of Dundas street. This section is definitely going to need some work in the near future.September 29, 2019 at 11:56 am #821428
This morning a section of the trail just North of Sherway Drive was blocked off by a large fallen tree. I cut the tree and moved it out of he way…Other than that, the trails were clear all the way to Matheson.October 5, 2019 at 5:08 pm #821430
Good ride this morning. All the trails were clear. A little damp after all the rain this past week but no mud.October 6, 2019 at 2:54 pm #821432
Rolled through earlier this week. Rode top to bottom and conditions were good. Thanks to the riders cutting back the overgrowth in the northern loop. We’ve still lost a bunch of trail but its nice to see some effort put forth by others.October 13, 2019 at 10:50 am #821437
Rode through early this morning. Trails were all clear.October 15, 2019 at 10:07 am #821442
Rode the lower loop and partial upper. Trails are running well overall. They need a ton of work but running well. Someone cut a big bell ringer out at Rathburn and Centennial Park Dr. Thanks!October 23, 2019 at 7:09 pm #821453
Matheson loop had two big trees down. I got one this evening. The second is about shoulder height on its side and might need a trail feature added to it 🙂
I’m also going to try and bring a blower through there. It definitely needs it. Thank goodness for the tent sail at Atlas Tools over the weekend —gotta chainsaw and blower for a smokin deal. Actually didn’t need the deal, just an excuse to buy trail tools.

Thanks for tackling those @sangerasong I haven’t been in the Matheson loop since the spring. I’m back from Ottawa next week and hope to duck in there. I have a battery operated leaf blower as well.
What most of the trails really need though, is the brush cut back.October 24, 2019 at 8:12 pm #821460
I was back again today with the blower and worked in a little booter where the tree was down. Lip isn’t perfect because I was stopped by a broken handle on my McLeod.
I’ll be back and like @fasttimes said to work on the over growth and brush. Trail also needs some bench cutting as well. I’ll see what I can do.

Thanks for clearing up the trails @sangerasong

Nice bridge, well done.November 2, 2019 at 10:46 am #821471
There is a very large tree across the west side trail just North of Eglington where the trail runs along the fence. The tree was too big to cut with my folding saw so I just left it there. It needs to have some type of a bridge or ramp build over it or be cut with a chain saw…There was also a huge big mess of broken trees and large branches just North of Sherway Drive. I cut all of them and moved them out of the way, the trail is all clear now.November 2, 2019 at 11:57 am #821472

This a correction from my original post……The large tree is actually South of Eglington and not North.
