Hey! It’s that time of year again to go big and dirty! Saturday, October 22nd. 9:00 am @ Loblaws Redway.

All welcome (assuming you can ride/socialize for 7ish hours). Bring a lunch, snacks, lots of water and tools.

    Rain date: Nov 5th.

Apres: My place! I’ll be hosting the apres again, and we’ll have heat lamps so hopefully we can do it outside. I will fully stock up on a fine collection of snobbish craft beers (and coolers for the Palm Bay couple?) so not to worry there, just please let me know if you are coming so I have enough. We’ll be grilling some of that glorious, infamous ćevapi while we wait for an order from Greenwood Smokehouse BBQ – this was a huge hit last year. We’ll aim for the order to be about $20 per person. Also, I live pretty close to the trails so people can feel free drop off clothes before the ride, so you can shower and change after if you want.

Route: TBD, but a route suggestion has been roughed out (similar to last year) with an emphasis on stringing together the favorites. Of course, it is not a dirty ride without getting your hands dirty a little, so expect a little bushwacking.

    Who’s in??

Damn, I misread this as “people can feel free to drop their clothes before the ride”.

I will ride this ride, drink your beer, and bring $20 for BBQ’d goodness!

You are the hostess with the most-est! I shall ride until noon, but must attend Cask Days at the Brickworks in the afternoon. Sorry I will miss the edible part of the ride (again). The irony of my inability to drink anything besides Guinness or beer-flavored grapefruit juice is not lost on me…

I’m going to caskdays the night before, so, yeah…

Sounds good @blurredlines @endurorider @grahamlockett @gravityalan @dexter01 and those that RSVP’d in person. The forecast is looking a tad spotty for next Saturday, but I’m still optimistic. Stay tuned.

Oh, caskdays and their poor choice of weekends. Note that latecomers could meet up en route at about 11:00 in Sunnybrook – if this is helpful, let me know. Any time after that becomes a bit tricky however.

@jcitizen: Erich and I are going to Caskdays the night before too! But we will be there at 9am, perhaps a little worse for wear, but still there! No excuses.

Been keeping an eye on the weather and looks like we are a go for Saturday! It’s going to be a chilly one this year.

Erich and I are going to Caskdays the night before too

    – I believe this is what high performance athletes call carbo-loading? Carbohydrates are important!

Note that by request from the purists (usurpers!) there is a change in the start location. We will now be meeting 9:00am at The Pottery Road Trailhead. We should be by the Loblaws shortly thereafter about 9:15 to pick up anyone that goes straight there.

We have an awesome route sketched out (about 65-70kms if all goes well). Bring a lunch, snacks, and lots of water as the fountains might be off already.

I have 14.5 confirmed for the ride, and 12 for the apres. Like I said before, we are grilling some post ride eats, but will order most of our feast from here: http://greenwoodsmokehouse.com/menu/. No one has RSVP’d about dropping off a change of clothes before the ride so if you plan on doing that, touch base with me to coordinate.

    Looking forward to it!

My real excuses are my children. Beat that!

And keep an eye out for me. We should be there at the 7pm start, so I might be a bit blurry after 830.
