Be happy to. I tried posting a PDF map, but did not work. The Credit is being overrun by rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks. I, or one of the other guys has come really close to hitting one on every ride.
Thanks for sharing @secret-agent! Will have to get in an explore a bit.
I hear you about the rabbits! I have had many close calls. There seems to have been a population explosion recently which is odd given the number of coyotes I have also seen living in the Creek. I heard one theory that the Ice Storm we had that one Christmas provided a huge amount of food over the winter (downed trees) that helped many of them survive and perhaps provided a boost to their numbers.
It is however a worthwhile destination for winter riding. The Culham runs all the way to Brittania Road. There is about 1-2 km max of road to put it all together at Streetsville. I did a there and back of 37 km last winter. The main path gets enough foot traffic that it is almost always good even for skinnier tired bikes. It’s just nice to have this as an option close to the house. It gets me out way more often as if it wasn’t there, I would not drive out to Milton or somewhere else to ride.
Erindale has been one of my favourite riding spots for many years, especially during winter, I live very close to it…I used to have a route which took me all the way from Dundas to north of Hwy 407. There used to be some short singletrack and dirt trails north of Derry Rd and Hwy 407. There were also few short trails around Streetsville, North of Bristol and Britania roads. I haven’t ridden those northern sections in a while so I don’t know if anything has changed. ..I just did some work about 2 weeks ago on one section of Pipehill trail in Erindale park. There was a big tree across the trail which was too big to cut and move away, so I build a nice ramp form logs and earth. I hope the ramp holds up. I am going to go back in there maybe this week to check it out.
