Is there anyone on here that is interested in maintaining a 4 km loop trail in the Tottenham Tract, located at the corner of Hwy 9 and Tottenham Road?

Simcoe County Trails was an organization who insured and maintained 5 loop trails within Simcoe County. This group has recently voted to dissolve, which leaves their trails with no one to look after them. The Simcoe County Mountain Bike Club (SCMBC) stepped up to insure these loops for one year (2016) while we look for members who would like to fulfil the Country requirements in their use agreement. Basically the trail would need to be insured, signed, marked (paint slashes), brush trimmed and leaves blown. SCMBC owns the equipment to do the trail work needed. The approximate 200 Acers has potential to build a more interesting and longer loop because of its nice terrain, but we are not presently there yet. In 2017 we will drop any of the 5 loops that do not have Adopt a Trail volunteers.

This is legal hold your head up high MTB trail work that is valued by any community who cares about nature. The Simcoe County Mountain Bike Club’s mission is the build and maintain as many kms of legal singletrack as possible in our large Forest filled County and we do it all with volunteers like you. We want people to be able to enjoy a well marked forest trail as close to where they live as possible because it is the right thing to do for our community.
