Maybe join yah in the fall for something like this … doing lots of m’s on zwift to stay fit
Enjoy and keep these posts coming, love it!
Hey @fasttimes – thanks for the the message and heads up.
Looks like spare shock is best option for sure.
Was planning to race mtn creek, but life got in the way :/
Stoked for blue this weekend!
Hi RFG community,
I seem to have blown up damper seals / oil ccts in my shock preventing my climb switch from operating.
*Edit – 2016 Fox Float X shock – 200 x 57
I know that most shops send out suspension for full service to Quebec or other option is to send to Suspension Werx in north van.
Curious if any shop has the equipment to do in…[Read more]

Discovered “Flying F*ck” DH run … so first off – super fun, thank you!
Buuut, some tweaks would make that line run so much better … is this a rough in then, fine tune? or finished project?
Was in for first dirt sample yesterday late aft.
Rode: climb – bunny – bunny drop – topo – cat – rim – pa – bot
What an amazing mix bag of fun
Dry and dusty on the first three with only a few soft spots from drainage / leaves.
Topo I encountered snow pack and some of the usual soft spots you would expect.
all in all great short strike in the…[Read more]
I am echoing what others have said above.
Additional thanks to @fasttimesinc for taking a good hour out of his day to chat with me about indoor training / MTB training in general!

Hey @blurredlines – i hear what you are saying
Seems like most enduro pros run a HR monitor and power meter., and i am sure the XC people must (look at their legs .. i mean watt makers!)
to me i would like to know two things out on the trail:
1) a measure of input from me to my bike (power meter)
2) a measure of the stress or effort i am being…[Read more]

Zwift got me hooked.
I love metrics and the fun of progressing those numbers … then finding strava premiums fitness/freshness and power curve is neat!
So, i looked at power meters for MTB.
Seems like lots of options for power meters … but not many that are protected from damage.
Also … $$$!
Do you train for MTB?
If so, do you…[Read more]
Hey @ mikeC – thanks for that, local to Inverhuron and utilizing the amenities of South Hampton will have to take a look at this crit race.
I would assume its on the east / west double street right in town – high St? … seems like a neat venue to watch at the very least!

Quick search for your cranks and i see a whole slew of options – https://www.raceface.com/products/details/turbine-chainring-10-speed-rings
Simple measure you BCD (bolt center diameter) of the larger (30-34tooth chain ring). It should be something like 104mm or similar.

So after a handful of rides on the dumb mag trainer and the Tacx neo i’m back to report some findings.
400KM – 6125m – 15hrs ride time. On a 3×9 Trek 520 XL
some workouts, some fun rides, some w/kg races with others in the world.
1) watt for watt – I was pretty close calibrating the mag trainer to the neo. Meaning i wasn’t struggling too much…[Read more]
@whynot – I have a post for you but it keeps getting locked in spam.
The long and short is – I started zwift’ing on a budget after a bit of a rib injury from Joyride early dec.
Dumb mag trainer, cheap speed and cadence sensors bluetoothing to iOS and airplay to apple TV.
I used my 2008 Fuji track SS. Now a loaner trek 520.
Zwift is amazing.…[Read more]
I went from SC 5010 (125/130mm) to RM Altitude (150/160mm)
I ride 90% don/XC with 10+ trips to Blue, Dagmar, Jefferson and a trip to Whis each year.
What sells me on RM and the longer travel is the ride 9 geo chip.
These days the travel length inst so important vs the geo its mated with due to the quality of bikes being made.
The ability to…[Read more]
