I’ve been having fun in there on the fat when conditions permit! A fun hour loop starting /stopping at Serena Gundy is Gundy>swap>entrace of climax>along the flats to the exit of ejaculator>then follow the trails out onto the frozen ponds in front of the Science Centre (highlight!)>remainder of boo>back along beaver flats(look for the new m…[Read more]
Everything running nice in the Sunnybrook area. 5 play and 6 play in good shape, trail seems to be settled in now with lots of variety. If anyone has a bigger tool there is a foot wide tree on 5 play that has a temporary walk over. On 6 play there are two down past the section I call “watch your head” Again about a foot wide each. With them gon…[Read more]
Anyone else finding puzzle pieces zip tied to trees? I found two around Sunnybrook. It’s obviously a secret code for a pot of gold. Looks like there must be at least 4 or 5 more. Let’s collect them all and redeem our prize!
Beautiful riding out there. Mowtown has had a big haircut. Cheers the fairies! It really makes a huge difference. Hopefully it gets traffic all summer and stays open. Exploring Kitchen Sink is a fun new project. As mentioned before major construction under Eglinton Bridge so get ready for some walk arounds to pick up the northern portion. At the…[Read more]
Mowtown and then my new favorite Kitchen Sink to the north running really well. Some overgrowth on Mowtown but not too bad yet. Lots of tlc given to Kitchen Sink. Cheers to the busy beavers. We stopped at Eglinton and then headed west and came back in at the end of Climaxx/Ejaculator.
@fasttimes Sorry to hear about your trip. I was following this thread to gain some insight into bike route planning. What mapping software were you using? I can’t get google maps to work the way I want it to. Only lets 8 pin drops and is always changing the route on me. Thanks.
As other have said, Mowtown is really in great shape right now. Get on it before it grows over! New favourite spot to have a mid ride beverage is under the railway bridge. It might even be a swimming hole for those with higher immune systems. Caught the end of day light real nice tonight. Big thanks to all the busy beavers out there.
Did a loop from Serena Gundy > Woods > Boo > Beaver Flats > Woods. Everything is covered nicely with the fresh snow. Not too many tracks yet in Woods Gundy and Beaver Flats. Once a few more people get in there should be good traction. For now some ice here and there underneath. This is my first winter with a Fat and loving it. Perfect for taking…[Read more]
Never got a chance to see the Trump Jump in person. RIP. ***Big heads up*** On BOT after the big berm turn is scaffolding for working on the bridge. It’s hidden from view until it’s to late and man I was lucky to not run right into it. Looks like they maybe put up some yellow tape but it had been ripped down and scattered around. Needs a proper…[Read more]
Rode over on the East Side last night with the Black Shirts. We did Training Loop > Boomerang > Fruitloop counter clockwise and I thought it was all running really well and should hold up all summer. Great loop. It doesn’t get over grown like Mowtown. There were a couple of muddy portages but still well worth it. And a big tree down at the end of…[Read more]
The tree down across the trail at the start of Fiveplay will not be bothering us anymore. Also waved a magic wand at the three trees down on Fruitloop. Begone! Hopefully Training loop > Boomerang > Fruit Loop will start to see some action.
All the Sunnybrook area trails are In good shape. Aside from the tree down at the start of five play it’s running well. The rebar on the jump has been tamped down. I pushed through passed five play and took another look at the estates area. I’m not sure if this is the intended route but if you keep going until the maintenance work horse>go up the…[Read more]
Friend of mine had to go pick up his buddy who did the High Line Ridge drop and didn’t see the logs left there. Had to call in an ambulance to the shade/cricket tree. Think he broke his leg. The tree choppers need to be careful where they leave their work!
Thanks @trail_head you are a true trail fairy. I’ve never met you but appreciate your time and effort keeping things running on the Don trails. If there is ever a need for help from other riders I’m in! We’re lucky to have such good trails out our back door and people like your team to jump in when needed. Many Thanks!
