…in over 10 years and got my ass kicked. Man I suck. Hahaha. Crashed/fell a bunch of times. Walked some spots… I blame yesterday’s rain. Yeah that’s it Banged my left knee real good and was totally knackered for the ride home. I ran into a couple of gents setting up for the Wild Betty race tonight as well as I ambled my way through. My bike is a time capsule. Tucked away in storage my ’04 C-dale Prophet was all dusted off and tuned up last week. Speaking of which I tore the boot on my Lefty MAX, plus I think I blew an oil seal in it as well. I was able to find and order those parts. But still, as I sit here and type this I can’t wait to go out for another ride tomorrow. Anyways…if you see a 45 year old dad bashing through the Don in the days ahead. That would be me. Feel free to say hello.

Ha ha ha @tetters, sounds about right!

Welcome to RFG. Lots of amazing people around here who share the same passion (and pain at times).

No country for old men? Not at all. A paceline went ripping by me one day this summer on catalyst, all 50+. Speaking for myself only, some riders in the valley are older than they look. And I still have and occasionally ride my vintage bike as well, it’s all good.

    Glad to hear you’re back.

My advice, go buy a radical new bike to get rad on on all the totally rad trails which have been added or updated in the last 10 years. The Don has blossomed in the last few years thanks to a very few builders and there is so much kick ass stuff to ride. Plenty of middle aged dads in here (just turned 40) who can rip, so no excuses! Unless you’re coming up with excuses why you should ride more, that is 🙂

    Happy Trails
