The Canadian National Enduro Series next stop is at Blue Mountain this weekend.
I had the opportunity to do a few runs with the organizer yesterday and can tell you that the course is mint. Details will be up tomorrow but look for 6 killer stages with roughly 1600m of climbing. Here is a quick edit of race organizer Ted Morton following me down the new upper and lower Embryo.
I was all set to register and race but on my last run I hit the deck pretty hard. Working on fixing my broken bike and body. Maybe not the year to come out of retirement, haha. Hope to make it up despite all this and see some of you out there.
I was able to fix my bike and body enough to race yesterday. Had to cannibalize three other bikes to get the Nomad rolling again, lots of busted parts. Took most of the day and didn’t leave much time to mend my mangled body.
Hands down one of the best events I have ever attended. Great to see so many new and old friends this weekend. Finished with a top ten in the 40+ category. I’ll take it considering my condition. It was also my first enduro race and first gravity event in 20 years.. Some seriously fast guys came out of retirement for this one. Including Doug Beattie, the winner in my class. Congrats to everyone who came out. Epic day. Five climbs, one lift and six timed downhill stages.
@bluemountain and the race organizers did such a great job. Was a perfect course.
