I had a very bad experience at Cycle Solutions Parliament earlier this summer with a shock service, fork rebuild and a few component swaps. They did a good job trying to address some of my complaints and could have just been a really bad day at the office for the mechanic, but I’ve completely lost confidence tbh.
Also watch for the new concrete parking barriers lining the fresh pavement at the exit to Foreplay DH – they raise the bump another 8 inches or so. Damn, great updates – my dropper got stuck down a few weeks ago and it looked liked riding was close enough to over to bother fixing immediately – I’m inspired to try for a rebuild tonight to get a few more rides in!
How’s the Wahoo Kickr? I’m not a trainer person but I’ve wondered if the new breed of iPad-enabled smart trainers would make it a more enjoyable process. Hey, we can all look forward to the day when we don’t need to get out of our basement in order to ride the Don……lol :

Wow, good update – I tried north Don at 11am yesterday (knew it was early but later was a write-off) and it was still pretty dangerous on any of the fun fast sections that are the real reason I ride. 😀 If only the rain holds off for a bit I’ll try again tonight – desperately hoping I haven’t already done my last Don ride of the season, but…[Read more]
Agreed with above, except I made the opposite decision – downsized to a shorter-travel Yeti SB5 bike (5″/127mm shock) because it was the best size for 90% of my daily riding in Southern Ontario.
