@whynot – I have a post for you but it keeps getting locked in spam.
The long and short is – I started zwift’ing on a budget after a bit of a rib injury from Joyride early dec.
Dumb mag trainer, cheap speed and cadence sensors bluetoothing to iOS and airplay to apple TV.
I used my 2008 Fuji track SS. Now a loaner trek 520.
Zwift is amazing.…[Read more]
I went from SC 5010 (125/130mm) to RM Altitude (150/160mm)
I ride 90% don/XC with 10+ trips to Blue, Dagmar, Jefferson and a trip to Whis each year.
What sells me on RM and the longer travel is the ride 9 geo chip.
These days the travel length inst so important vs the geo its mated with due to the quality of bikes being made.
The ability to…[Read more]
some small changes and maintenance here and there. Fall trail ferries abound. Thank you!
*TREE DOWN – Foreplay DH after the first step up*
all time fall time, almost 20C and sunny – ya kidding
last eve, Pottery to BOT, return east wall and flats
Supppper fun fall conditions, great light, crispy leaves …. Tomba la Bomba is running so hot rn, gotta be one of the best ways to end a ride!
Also the new collector to road exti on crothers is great, thank you! but why the log over at the start?
the tree cutting made it to smiths / roller flowster too … one in particular that kept people in check is gone …
to me it would appear in the efforts to maintain flow and go faster … a new person a little too “stoked” on collecting KOM’s? … either way, if you are reading this … please stop 🙂
all in all a great last couple days to be…[Read more]
Stoked to ride this again this year!
Thanks for putting it on.
For anyone a bit nervous – the vibe is super fun and the trail is more than doable on a enduro-esque trail bike.
@soban – yesterday aft – gundy / sunny in the north was AOK, lil moist, but super fun still.
@mr.smith – i would politely disagree. With the exclusion of some wooden features being beaten up by trafffic and use… the trails are all in excellent repair. The season has seen many changes and improvements in the Don.
To ME (imho) the trail system…[Read more]
Tail between my legs;
@fasttimesinc was right – pump was off! my pump gauge does zero, but reads 120PSI when @ 90-92PSI … so i WAS within proper range, albeit a bit high.
Additionally Marc found that I had negative pressure (vacuum) on the air shaft side. Suspected it was from NOT cycling the fork at lower PSI’s to balance.
THANKS Marc for…[Read more]
@stephen_reese – Access is from the south end of Bunny Run.
Bunny Poop Droppings runs from Dirt Farm at the north to the paved trail / bridge at the south. That bridge is the one that takes you under Don Mills towards Mowtown start / east trails.
Bunny Poop uses the north and east ravine walls that perimeter the parking lot there.
if not,…[Read more]
Hi @fasttimesinc – Thanks for getting back
2017 Fox Float 36 FiT4 – 160mm – 190LBs all geared up, aggressive rider.
TBH – not sure, i am thinking (4) orange and fill it.
I noted my psi before doing a lower leg service – it was 120PSI and 30% sag … da faq?
Fox calls for 99PSI for a 240+lb rider…
I brought rebound and open mode adjust…[Read more]
Yesterday late aft – Hardpack tennis court w loose silt on top.
Break bumps starting in the berms. rolling fast tho!
Super fun all around riding the north, gundy to sunny to maxxx
Scaffold still up on BOT.
To whomever built Bunny Poop Droppings – what a trail, keeps getting faster and faster.
IIRC it was collective effort at the end of last…[Read more]
@mr-smith – new features at he start seem good, would have to ride to know if they work as intended (the gout roll in looks a bit off chamber and fall line towards the hip take off may send the riders weight weird when take off. But that is what dummy runs are for
Curious – OG builders of the canon gap at end of Cat leading to start of PA – you…[Read more]
Hey @renegade-hardware – yep, same complex, pretty sure they are a few units over from me.
I am there usually before and after regular work (5-630AM and 430-7PM)
fun access to kitchen sink too 😉
Outside of riding i am an avid surfer and custom surfcraft builder.
lots of experience with high end epoxy and ballistic materials (carbon, kevlar, etc)
I also run a surf repair shop and average 30+ work orders a month.
imho – buy just the lower stay.
I have repaired a bunch of $500-1000 hollow carbon SUP paddles (hippo sticks, etc) and hollow…[Read more]
