Thinking of this as well.
I had a lifeproof and it was pretty good except the case caused echo and bad calls (on both ends).
The quadlock look good, kind of pricy though. I like that you can mount in car as well.
I have no problem with eBikes and have considered that myself (I could ride to work as you mentioned in a reasonable time).
My post was about a particular rider who’s on the paths and is dangerous and just an asshole. Does not warn of passing, or coming the other way on a blind corner. I see all kinds of people on electric assist bike and have no…[Read more]
Angelo, actually more like big f’n pick-up trucks!
And jjb, yep I ride all the way down to Pottery road on the trail system, and it’s great. There should be a campaign to promote these as a good commuting option.
Also has anyone noticed on this system the asshat with the fancy (fast) electric MTN bike that flies along here? Almost ran into the…[Read more]
I decided to send it to http://www.carbonwork.ca/, but it ain’t cheap! But they are real experts and thorough!
Yeah I’m pretty pissed about it, but Santa Cruz does not have any rear triangles left of this (26″), so I’ll keep harassing them to see if they by some weird chance get one in.

Anyone have experience with this?

And I already put it in the brakes about a week ago, and they work well, and they mixed with the Shimano fluid already in there. I think I’ll flush regardless and get some Shimano.
I just bled my new brakes and I’m worried I may have used DOT oil. The brakes work, but not sure if it was mineral. I bought a bleed kit and I thought it only came with mineral oil, BUT now I’m worried it came with DOT and Mineral. The bottle was not labeled.
The oil I used was red and thicker than the mineral oil I also found (blue).
Is there…[Read more]
Thanks for the report.
Def bring any bike… within reason of course!
My first trip to blue was on a Silent Sports HT and I had a great time (and that got me into DH). Don’t let the fact you don’t own a DH bike discourage you from riding there! Just don’t get in over your head or bikes abilities.
