Glad to hear you’re back.
My advice, go buy a radical new bike to get rad on on all the totally rad trails which have been added or updated in the last 10 years. The Don has blossomed in the last few years thanks to a very few builders and there is so much kick ass stuff to ride. Plenty of middle aged dads in here (just turned 40) who can rip,…[Read more]
So pumped on the work that keeps happening in the east don. The west has been given tonnes and tonnes of love, which rules, but it’s nice to get to the other side of the valley and see changes happening every ride. Fruitloop seems to have had a little butter applied to a few turns etc in the last week or so, so thanks to the beaver(s)!
I was back in again this weekend and it seems like if you can ride quads it’s totally rideable now aside from the lookout/landslide area, which is amazing. In the last few weeks so much new wood has been added and so much dead wood removed! Went in during the day after riding it at night and I feel like I’m preferring the north south route. I’m…[Read more]
Out this morning and Bunny & all of Sunnybrook are good to go and will be hero dirt by evening, I’m sure. Between the humidity and significant dew things were surprisingly greasy considering it rained days ago. Rim Job/Cat might be a bit icky, but otherwise happy riding.
ps. I’ve been meaning to post this for ages: To the person who chopped out…[Read more]
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Quads is still very quadsy, but if you rode all the wood before you’re probably gonna have a nice time as there’s a few spots that are fixed up and it looks like a lot of trees were taken out. The section near the lookout is pretty mangled, but was in there this weekend and walked up to the rode near there and…[Read more]
So, has every one been riding the scenic route off SHT and I’m just the only sucker who’s been missing out? Nice little addition to that area. Was thick with fluff from the trees this weekend.
Team, any insight into the two mega tree falls on the ridge in the last week or so? I feel like they both happened when there were no big winds. Could they have been weakened from the heavy wind we had recently and then let go? In both cases they seem to have fallen towards the east and were large and seemingly healthy.
I often want to pop by my LBS on Sundays, but usually the hours (12-5 I think) get in the way. I don’t really understand any retail operation being closed Sunday, when I’m sure most people want to deal with this kinda thing on weekends or after 5. Can’t help but think people just shop less on Sunday cause they assume more places might be closed,…[Read more]
This weather is nuts, I really wonder if things will be ready much before May after this dump.
